How Wyatt Johnson Ford Is Responding to COVID-19 in Nashville
Our teams remain committed to making your dreams a reality at Wyatt Johnson Ford. But with COVID-19 still sweeping the nation, it has forced many of us to change many things in our lives. So in an effort to make things as normal as possible, we’ve made some changes to how you can shop in-person at Wyatt Johnson Ford.
We’ve taken some steps to keep everyone from our customers to our staff safe while shopping for a new Ford at our Thompson Lane location in Nashville.
Preventative Steps Taken at the Dealership
Effective immediately, our dealership has implemented the following steps to ensure a healthy environment for all guests:
It should come to no surprise that you come into contact with a bunch of surfaces in a dealership. And because COVID-19 can survive on hard surfaces for a while and contributes to the spread of the virus, we’ve instructed our cleaning crews to more frequently clean and disinfect all high touch surfaces including tables, lobbies, door handles, restrooms, van shuttle seats, phones, and more, during the day.
Keeping surfaces clean is just part of the battle of keeping the spread low. This part is on you. Besides surfaces, there are many items that can be passed around throughout the dealership. So we’ve placed hand sanitizing stations around our showroom and office areas and highly recommend using them after handling items like keys, pens, clipboards, etc.
The spread of COVID-19 is much more common when someone is showing symptoms of the virus. So we’ve mandated our staff to stay home if they are experiencing any COVID-19 related symptoms. We also ask that if you are feeling ill, please remain at home and come back at a time when you are feeling better.
The steps we are taking moving forward have been inspired by the advice being provided to the public from trusted organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC).
We always want to give you the best car buying experience possible and change the way you think about car dealerships. For this reason, these new guidelines and preventative measures will remain in place until further notice.
Making Your Online Shopping Dreams Come True

Even before COVID-19 started up, people have been moving towards at-home/online shopping. But now more than ever, online shopping is the preferred method for many people. Our team at Wyatt Johnson Ford noticed that at-home shopping was missing some things that it could definitely use. So we’ve added several new programs that should make your online shopping experience as good, if not better, than traditional shopping!
The first thing we added was the ability for you to stay at home throughout the entire shopping process, thanks to our new car delivery program! Before, you could go through the majority of the buying process, but you had to come into the dealership to pick up your new car. Well, not anymore! Now, you can find a car you like in our available new Ford inventory, apply for financing, test drive the car, and have it delivered to your home without you having to leave your house! One of our team members will drop your car off to you, so there's no reason for you to need to risk your exposure.
Another program we added is focused on those who need to schedule a service appointment for their Ford. Like our new car delivery service, if it wasn’t for this new program, you’d have to bring your car into the dealership and either wait around for our Ford-certified technicians to be finished. However, now with this new program, our team members will pick up your car and bring it to our service center, leaving you with a loaner if you need one. Once we’re all finished, we’ll return your car to you, cleaned and disinfected.
All of our new services are available to anyone within 20 miles of our Thompson Lane location in Nashville, which include Smyrna, Franklin, and other areas surrounding Nashville. At Home Test Drive*
So we mentioned above that you can enjoy the experience of a test drive at home. No we didn’t go into detail about that up there because it’s a pretty big deal that needs its own space. Our at-home test drive makes shopping from home a truly rewarding experience and allows you to do everything you would do at Wyatt Johnson Ford, at home!
Just like with a regular test drive, you can schedule an at-home test drive on any car that you find in our new Ford inventory or used car list. Just let us know when and where you would like to request the at-home test drive, one of our team members will be in touch with you to confirm the details, then we’ll come to you with the car you choose. You can take it for a spin around your house, neighborhood, city, work commute, wherever you want!

Moving forward, you’ll have a choice to make depending on whether you like the car or not. If you liked the car, then you can hold onto it while we work quickly to finalize the buying process. If you don’t like it, then we’ll just take it back to our dealership. Since there’s no limit to how many at-home test drives you can do, if there’s another car you had your eye on, just go through the process again and we’ll be over with your next choice!
