Chase Down Good Eats at These 4 Nashville Food Trucks

Nashville food trucks
Nashville is known as the epicenter of country music. After you walk from venue to venue listening to tunes, you are bound to get hungry. Why not check out one of these food trucks that might be visiting your favorite business?

Smokin' Buttz BBQ

Smokin' Buttz BBQ has been cruising around Nashville since 2014 and serves mouthwatering slow-smoked barbecue. The menu varies from day to day, but they try to serve a couple of the standard options at each location. There is The Hickory, which is a smoked pulled pork sandwich, and The Mesquite, which is a smoked pulled chicken sandwich. Try The Gut Buster for a little more flavor; it has either smoked pork or chicken and is then topped with BBQ sauce, nacho cheese, and jalapenos. Smokin' Buttz also offers a few sides like coleslaw, barbecue baked beans, mac and cheese, and chips. You can also order loaded or basic nachos. To locate the truck, text “Buttz” to 88000 to get updates on where it will be that day.

Smokin' Bowls

Smokin' Bowls takes traditional Japanese ramen and other Asian street foods and gives them a southern twist. The specialty at this food truck are the fusion bowls, of which there are currently four varieties. There is the Snoop Bowl, which takes pork and miso broth and adds smoked pork, noodles, mushrooms, onions, ginger, and chili. The Jerry Bowl is made with chicken and miso broth, smoked chicken, noodles, mushrooms, basil, and ginger. Another option is the Shroomin' Bowl, which is vegetarian and is made with a smoked vegetable broth, noodles, mushrooms, kale, and onions. You can get a few Asian street food appetizers like the chili lime shrimp potstickers, Thai basil chicken potstickers, or Asian tacos. You can find out the schedule for the food truck on their website.

Yayo's O.M.G!

Yayo's O.M.G! or Original Mexican Gourmet is another delicious option in Nashville. Yayo's sells Mexican-inspired dishes. All of their tacos can be purchased two or three at a time. The regular tacos come with either skirt steak, pork, chicken, or chorizo. Yayo's does have specialty tacos that are made with mahi-mahi, shrimp, or a combination of brisket, chorizo, and pork. Yayo's even has quesadillas and tostadas. Find the weekly schedule for Yayo's on their website.

Retro Sno

Retro Sno makes gourmet sno-cones that can be a tasty treat on a hot Nashville day. Retro Sno creates all of their syrups by hand without using high fructose corn syrup. They then use filtered water to make their ice, which is shaved to achieve a light, fluffy snow. They offer some very creative flavors compared to those you may remember as a child. Try options like the sweet tea and lemonade, vanilla toasted coconut, sangria, raspberry wedding cake, or blackberry pomegranate. The schedule for this food truck can be found on their website. Whether you want barbecue or Asian, or just about any other cuisine, you can probably find it on a food truck somewhere in Nashville. There are new trucks taking off every year, so keep yourself updated on the food truck scene. Image via Flickr by stu_spivack

Ford Maverick vs. Ford Ranger: Which Truck Is Right for You?

If you're shopping for a versatile pickup truck, Ford offers two compelling options: the Maverick and the Ranger. Each model brings its own strengths to the table, catering to different lifestyles and driving needs. Whether you're looking for a fuel-efficient commuter or a rugged off-road companion, Ford has a truck for you. To start exploring your options, check out the Ford Maverick inventory in Nashville. more Size and Design The Ford Maverick is a compact pickup designed for urban drivers who want the utility of a truck without the bulk. Its unibody construction makes it easy to maneuver and park, while still offering a functional bed for hauling gear. The Ford Ranger, by contrast, is a midsize truck built on a body-on-frame platform. It’s larger, more rugged, and better suited for off-road adventures or heavy-duty tasks. Powertrain and Efficiency One of the standout features of the Maverick is its available Ford Maverick hybrid powertrain. This option delivers impressive fuel economy, making it an ideal choice for daily commuting and light hauling. The hybrid system pairs a 2.5L engine with an electric motor, offering a smooth and efficient ride. The Ranger doesn’t offer a hybrid, but it comes standard with a turbocharged 2.3L EcoBoost engine that delivers robust performance and acceleration. Towing and Capability When it comes to towing, the Ranger clearly has the edge. With a maximum Ford Ranger towing capacity of up to 7,500 pounds when properly equipped, it’s built to handle trailers, boats, and heavy equipment with ease. The Maverick, while capable, tops out at around 4,000 pounds with its optional towing package—perfect for smaller loads and weekend getaways. Off-Road Performance For those who crave adventure, the Ford Ranger tremor package is a game-changer. It includes off-road tuned suspension, skid plates, and all-terrain tires, transforming the Ranger into a trail-ready machine. The Maverick offers an FX4 off-road package for its AWD models, but it’s more suited for light off-roading and gravel paths than serious trail work. Interior and Technology Both trucks come equipped with Ford’s SYNC infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a suite of driver-assist features. Ford F-150 Lightning vs Chevy Silverado EV: What’s the Difference?

Narrow down your search for a reliable EV pickup truck and pay attention to the electric Silverado vs. Ford Lightning. Both vehicles are designed to go the distance, with the performance metrics that make them prepared for heavy hauls on the job site and adventurous weekend plans. There are also differences in how they operate and look and feel inside. Make sure that the next truck you drive checks off all the boxes on your wish list and discover what’s unique about the new F-150 versus its competition. EV Truck Performance Within the Ford Lightning vs. Chevy Silverado EV conversation, power and performance are the first things that may come to mind. As its name suggests, the electric F-150 can bolt to 60 miles-per-hour in under four seconds. All you need is the Extended Range Battery, which can also belt out 580 horsepower, and you will be ready to move. If you like to tow with heavy equipment, such as a trailer or boat, then consider driving the Ford Lightning Flash™ or Lariat® trim levels. With the Max Trailer Tow Package, your truck can handle a haul of 10,000 pounds. The Chevy Silverado has an identical towing capacity. It’s capable of 785 pound-feet of torque, which is slightly more than its Ford counterpart. Yet, it takes longer to accelerate, timing at about six seconds if you’re driving the 4WT trim level. The Silverado has the higher range of the two at 440 miles, courtesy of its massive battery. With the Ford, the smaller battery makes the pickup easier to handle when you’re behind the wheel. EV Truck Interior Design Performance makes sure your truck is reliable, while its interior guarantees you and your passengers are safe and comfortable for your commute. When you think about the Silverado EV vs. Ford Lightning, you may notice that both trucks offer five-passenger seating. The Ford stands out with its versatile cabin. You can lower the stowaway shifter and spread out the center console to reveal a makeshift desk, perfect for pulling out your laptop and getting some work done from the driver’s seat. Another upgrade is the panoramic glass roof, which will offer views of the sky above you as you travel to exciting destinations on your bucket list. EV Truck Technology Features Among the Chevrolet Silverado EV vs. Ford F-150 Lightning specs, you may not notice a lot of differences between the trucks.
