EcoBoost Fastback

The base trim option is the Mustang EcoBoost Fastback, although it’s anything but basic. This trim comes standard with 17-inch aluminum wheels painted in sparkle silver, LED headlights and taillights, and hood vents on the outside. Under the hood, you’ll find the 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine with a six-speed manual transmission and the option for a 10-speed automatic. You’ll get up to 310 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque with this engine. Inside, you’ll enjoy a six-speaker sound system with Ford’s SYNC infotainment system and the option to upgrade to the SYNC 3 system plus a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

A premium version of this trim is available which comes with the updated SYNC 3 infotainment system and nine speakers instead of six. The EcoBoost Fastback Premium also gets upgraded 18-inch wheels, ambient lighting, dual-zone automatic climate control, fog lights, and side mirrors with integrated turn signals.

EcoBoost Convertible

The main differences you’ll find between the base trim and this convertible option are found in the roof and the rear seats. You’ll get a 50/50 split in the rear bench of the base trim, but the convertible doesn’t allow the rear bench to fold.

Ford also offers a premium version of this trim with the same upgrades that are added to the other premium trims. The GT Premium Convertible trim adds all the power of the GT with the convertible top and tacks on other premium features.

For more power, the GT Fastback introduces a V-8 engine into the mix. A 5.0-liter V-8 with a six-speed manual transmission equipped with rev matching capability gets 460 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. Other features include a driver’s seat with power lumbar support and six-way power adjustments.

The GT Premium Fastback adds the ability to select different drive modes like eco, sport, and normal, for your ideal drive each time you get behind the wheel. You’ll also get eye-catching features like pony projection lights and ambient lighting with MyColor technology and a 4.2-inch instrument cluster.
