Ford offers three different hot hatchback models, the Focus RS, Focus ST, and the Fiesta ST, each with their own personality and feature set. You might be wondering, "Which one of these sporty cars is right for me?" Here are some features to consider when making your decision. No matter which one you choose, you'll be getting a fun-to-drive, high-performance car with tried and tested Ford quality. Power The most immediate difference between these three hatchbacks is power. Each has a turbocharged EcoBoost engine. The Fiesta ST includes a 1.6-liter engine that produces 197 horsepower. In a car with a curb weight of 2,742 with a manual transmission, this is more than enough to make you sit up and take notice. Next in line is the Focus ST, with a 2.0-liter turbocharged the makes 252 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. The most powerful of the three is the Focus RS, which pulls 350 horsepower from an EcoBoost 2.3-liter engine more Performance On the Fiesta ST, you'll find the Ford AdvanceTrac system, which applies the brakes and adjusts torque at the slightest wheel slip. The suspension has also been tuned to increase control at higher speeds with a specially designed steering knuckle. The Focus ST adds Control Blade independent rear suspension with a stabilizer bar to minimize roll and keep the car hugging the road. If you are looking for the performance of all-wheel drive, the Focus RS delivers. Ford's Performance All-Wheel-Drive System responds automatically to driving conditions but is also manually adjustable with multiple modes, including the tire shredding drift mode. Interior Space You have to admit it, driving a hatch isn't just about speeding along sinuous two-lane roads hugging the ocean. As a daily driver, you'll want to take interior space into consideration. All three models have seating for five and a 60/40 split rear seat for additional cargo capacity should the situation arise. In both Focus models, you'll get 23.8 cubic feet of cargo space with the seats up. Flipping down the back seats adds an extra 21 cubic feet. With the smaller Fiesta, you get 10 cubic feet with the seats up and 23 with them folded down. Style and Seating All three of these cars feature aggressive styling, trailing spoilers, and a wide stance indicative of their sports car personalities. Interior details are what set the three models apart. On the Fiesta, the standard seats are a 6-way manual driver's seat and 4-way manual passenger seat, both trimmed in cloth with ST badging. Heated RECARO partial leather-trimmed seats are an optional upgrade. The Focus ST gets the manual adjusting cloths seats with the partial leather trimmed seat upgrade but also has an option for a full leather RECARO seat. Only the Focus RS comes standard with full leather RECARO seats with heaters. You can't go wrong with any of these hatchback models. Driving around, you will see a number of historic homes that have been converted to restaurants, yoga studios, and a number of cafes, such as Cafe Roze, Barista Parlor, and Five Daughters Bakery. If shopping is your passion, the neighborhood is home to many small retail shops and boutiques. Some of the most recommended shops in the neighborhood of East Nashville are Vinnie Louise, Gift Horse, Apple and Oak, and Welcome Home. Brentwood Brentwood is a unique upscale neighborhood that was built over previous farmland in the city of Nashville. The neighborhood boasts newer and sometimes expansive homes, and the area provides all the comfort of suburban living. The area is home to many great shopping venues and national chains that you will often find in some of the larger malls across the United States. One of the most unique roads in the neighborhood is Franklin Road, which starts with a variety of retail shops and ends into a picturesque antebellum home and horse farm. You will also find the amenities that you would in many upscale neighborhoods, such as a yacht club and marina located along the banks of Percy Priest Lake and the Cumberland and Stones River. In fact, iconic Nashville dishes are one way to get to know this eclectic and vibrant city. Learn about seven foods or meals that are staples here. The Meat and Three The meat and three is a dish that speaks for itself. It consists of a type of meat and three side dishes. It's often served with cornbread and sweet tea. Arnold's Country Kitchen serves an excellent rendition of this dish in its 30 years of experience as part of the city. They also serve a host of other Southern favorites on their menu. Fried Pickles Fried foods are common in the south. But fried pickles are a classic. Sweet Potato Fries Sweet potato fries are found mostly in Tennessee and not as much in the rest of the south. They're on a lot of menus in Nashville and the rest of the state because sweet potato fries are often preferred over the regular version. While they are sweeter than normal fries, sweet potato fries pair well with a hearty burger. The best sweet potato fry and burger combination is at The Pharmacy in East Nashville. Barbeque Barbecue is big in the United States. Tennessee has its own unique take on this delicious dish though. If you're in the mood for barbecue, you have to try the ribs at Jack's Bar-B-Que. Owned by the Jack Cawthon, the ribs serve as the top of the heap in terms of barbecue from the King of Barbeque himself. They're fall-off-the-bone tender and made with a St. Louis Style rub. Jack's Bar-B-Que is in downtown Nashville. Catfish Catfish is another popular food in the south and also in Nashville. Just like with the fried pickles, this fish tastes good fried. It comes served with different sides like hush puppies and fries or with shrimp. Uncle Bud's Catfish serves theirs fast in a family-friendly atmosphere along with menu items like frog legs. The 2018 Super Duty is capable of handling these challenges and more. For this vehicle, drivers can opt for the Power Stroke engine. This engine produces 925 lb-ft of torque and hauls an impressive 32,000 pounds making it ideal for the toughest of jobs. Technology helps too, with features like towing assist and emergency braking. The trim levels have all the features necessary for business and for comfort. 2018 F650 and 750 The larger F650 and 750 serve as the lifeblood for many companies around the country. Ford announced that it is dropping passenger cars from its lineup in 2018. The vehicle market in the United States is moving away from sedans as consumers opt for crossovers. Ford is responding by meeting the growing demand for SUVs, crossovers, and pickups. It will keep only two cars, the iconic Mustang and the upcoming Focus Active. Here's what's being cut from the Ford lineup in North America. If you're considering buying one of these cars, hurry down to your nearest Ford dealer before they're gone. Taurus The Taurus is Ford's full-size sedan, first introduced in 1986 as a midsize sedan. It quickly became a successful car for Ford, selling over 2 million units by the end of its first generation. The Taurus went out of production for a few years and then brought back as a full-size sedan. Today the Taurus is a stately sedan. It has a spacious cabin with ample leg- and headroom and one of the largest trunks in its class. The 2018 Taurus has four trims priced from $27,690 for the base SE to $42,865 for top end SHO. Fusion The midsize Fusion sedan came on the market in 2006, just before the 2008 recession. The Fusion was well-received and exactly what the motor company needed to see it through the economic slump. It also became popular on the NASCAR track. If the Taurus is too bulky, you may find the midsize Fusion a better fit. Your trim choices are extensive with six trims and various engines, including gasoline, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid options. The 2018 model carries over from 2017 unchanged. The price difference is nominal; a base 2017  Fusion S cost $22,120 compared to $22,215 for a 2018 model. C-Max Hybrid If you're looking for a hybrid, grab the C-Max before it disappears from the market. The C-Max is a multipurpose vehicle (MPV) and best described as a tall hatchback. It's a bigger version of the Focus with spacious seating and a slightly larger cargo area. Its interior styling is also very appealing with good quality materials giving it a more expensive look and feel compared to similar vehicles in its class. The 2018 C-Max offers two trims: the Hybrid SE and Hybrid Titanium. If you're keen on a plug-in hybrid, get the 2017 Energi model discontinued in 2018. Fiesta The smallest car in Ford's lineup is the Fiesta, available as a sedan or hatchback. The Fiesta debuted in 1976 and has enjoyed robust sales through seven generations. The Fiesta remains a top seller internationally but sales are weak in the United States. However, for students and young people, it is an affordable vehicle priced between $14,205 and $15,735. Parents will like the MyKey feature that allows you to preprogram your teen's vehicle. You can restrict the top speed, set seat belt reminders, set a low fuel warning, and keep the audio volume low. Ford's decision to cut passenger cars wasn't an easy one. However, to continue producing sedans and small cars no longer makes financial sense, and Ford hopes to cut costs by as much as $25.5 billion by 2022. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day as the saying goes. It's also one of the best meals when you go to the right place. Here are four great breakfast spots in Nashville. Biscuit Love Biscuit Love is a popular breakfast spot with two locations in Nashville and a third in Franklin, Tennessee that specializes in breakfast, lunch, and brunch. The restaurant evolved from an airstream food truck serving Southern breakfast favorites starring the biscuit. Favorite dishes include the fried bonuts served with lemon mascarpone cream. The egg plate with eggs and bacon and the biscuits and gravy are also fan-favorites. If you plan on visiting, make sure to account for the wait time. A good rule of thumb is to go 30-45 minutes before you expect to sit down and eat. Despite the long wait, the food is worth it. more Milk and Honey Milk and Honey is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a brunch to die for. Like Biscuit Love, the restaurant has a long wait. But the food is well worth it. Must try breakfast dishes include the avocado toast, the hodgepodge hash, the sourdough cinnamon toast, and the fresh cinnamon rolls. If you're on the go and don't have time for a sit-down breakfast, Milk and Honey also has an on-site coffee and juice bar. Grab a pastry and a coffee or juice and you're set to go. The Nashville Jam Cafe As the name implies, the Nashville Jam Cafe is all about the jam. Try one of their biscuits with a homemade jam. If you can't pick a jam, a server will happily provide a sample of each so you can find your favorite. The apple bacon and strawberry jalapeño receive high praise. This breakfast and lunch spot has some tasty dishes including the biscuit sandwich like the PB&J which has pimento cheese, tomato jam, and chicken in it. In addition to the tasty biscuits and jam, make the Gouda grits a priority to try. They are delicious and are powerful enough to make non-Southerners love grits just as much. The Nashville Jam Cafe is a small place with a homey feel to it making the perfect place for a sit-down breakfast to kick off your day. The Garden Brunch Cafe The Garden Brunch Cafe is mostly open for brunch on the weekend. However, they are open for breakfast on Fridays. The Cinnabon French toast with turkey bacon is a delicious option for breakfast. Another dish is the classic garden breakfast which includes toast, eggs, cheese grits, and turkey sausage. Both the sausage and the grits are standouts among the locals. For brunch, they also serve a blackened tilapia over grits which is just as tasty. The Garden Brunch Cafe also has long wait times but visitors say the food is most definitely worth it. Nashville is full of great spots to eat breakfast. For cargo space it has around 34 cubic feet and all three engines are efficient four-cylinder designs. The top turbocharged engine delivers 245 horsepower, an impressive number for its 2.0-liter size. The Escape is the best option when the driver enjoys going on winding country roads or scenic mountain byways, because it handles the best out of any SUV that Ford offers. Edge: For Affordable Comfort The Edge is one of Ford's midsize crossovers. The Explorer is in the same class, but the Edge is bigger and has three rows of seats instead of two. This means that it has more cargo space when all the seats are up, plus it offers conveniences like EasyFold second-row seats and a hands-free liftgate. You can also get an 8-inch touch screen with cellphone compatibility when you buy the right trim. The Edge has plenty of room for its passengers, cargo, and accessories. While it costs more than the Escape and EcoSport, The edge is worth the investment for many families. Expedition: For Big Families While the EcoSport sits at the small end of the spectrum, the Expedition sits at the top. The Expedition uses the F-150 frame as its base, making the Expedition stronger than you would expect and giving you plenty of space in the back, even when all the seats are up and eight people are sitting in them. As a large SUV, the Expedition also comes with all the features and accessories you would expect from a big vehicle. This can include a rear seat entertainment system, a fun way to keep the kids busy during a long drive. Ford makes a few other SUVs beyond the ones on this list, but this gives you a good idea of the versatility Ford offers drivers when you are looking for a vehicle to take on that next summer road trip. Fiesta ST The Fiesta ST is the performance trim of Ford's subcompact car. Compacts and subcompacts are popular among racers, thanks to their low starting cost and nimble handling. When you think of Nashville, you probably think of the Grand Ole Opry, The Country Music Hall of Fame, or even the Ryman Auditorium. But what about those off-the-beaten-path places in and around Music City? Here are a few of our favorites. The Hermitage Hotel Opened in 1910, the Hermitage Hotel has played host to many illustrious guests, from Hollywood stars (Gene Autry once walked his horse through the grand lobby!) to presidents, to Prohibition-era gangsters like Al Capone. Known for its deluxe accommodations and excellent service, the Hermitage has many not-to-be-missed features, such as the grand staircase and the painted glass ceiling. If you get a chance, also take a peek at the men's restroom, which has been voted Best Bathroom in America. There you'll find decadence unheard of in present day, complete with a shoeshine station and art-deco emerald and black fixtures. more Lane Motor Museum Is there a car enthusiast in your group? If so, he or she could get lost in automobile nostalgia at the Lane Motor Museum. There you'll find over 150 cars and motorcycles. They have everything from microcars to military vehicles and everything in between. There are many prototypes and one-of-a-kind vehicles here from all over the world. The best part is that the staff strives to keep all of the automobiles in working order. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Monday; it's closed Tuesday and Wednesday. There is a small entry fee. Cheekwood Estate and Botanical Gardens Originally home to Leslie and Mabel Cheek, this estate was built in 1929. It was converted into a museum and botanical garden in 1960 and is over 55 acres in size. The grounds feature 11 different botanical gardens, each with a unique theme. There is also a sculpture trail. It's a 1-mile walking loop featuring contemporary sculptures in a wooded setting. The museum offers seasonal festivals and family activities and programs for all ages. Its hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday; it's closed Monday. There is a small entry fee for nonmembers. The Parthenon Built in 1897 as part of Nashville's Centennial Exposition, the Parthenon is an exact replica of the same in Athens, Greece, right down to the giant statue of Athena in the center of the grand hall. After the Exposition, rather than take on the costs to demolish the building, city leaders decided to make it a permanent structure. Now it serves as a museum, housing paintings by American artists of the 19th and 20th centuries. Its hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday; 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday; closed Monday. The 2018 Ford F-150 King Ranch has many new features that Ford lovers will enjoy. Premium Audio System The F-150 is the first Ford vehicle to have a premium B&O PLAY audio system with an AM/FM stereo, 10 speakers, and an MP3 and CD player. There are specifically placed tailored tuning, speaker placement, and calibration. You'll love the way your favorite song sounds as you drive around town. more More Power The new Ford F-150 has more muscle than ever before and also features a best-in-class payload. The truck has 400 pound-feet of torque and 395 horsepower due to the new direct-injection and twin independent variable cam timing. The Ti-VCT makes sure the performance is optimized and matches what the driving conditions are. There's also a package available for CNG/Propane Gaseous Engine Prep so conversion can happen for propane autogas or compressed natural gas. A Snow Plow Prep package is also offered for those who drive in snow often. Stay Connected There are many ways to stay connected in the Ford F-150 King Ranch. The SYNC Connect with WiFi hotspot lets you have your own WiFi hotspot inside for your passengers to enjoy. Up to 10 different devices can use it at once, and the FordPass app lets you keep an eye on how much data you've used. You can even start your vehicle from your phone, lock and unlock it, and see how much gas you have left. SYNC 3 lets you use voice commands to control parts of the system, such as answering calls or getting directions. Keep Your Passengers Safe The F-150 has a rearview camera with a dynamic hitch assist. This means that not only are there lines on the side to show you when and where to turn, but you can also see the angle that your truck needs to turn to get the hitch on correctly. It's never been easier to hook your truck up to a boat or trailer. If you accidentally take a turn too sharply or swerve suddenly, Roll Stability Control kicks in by automatically decreasing the engine power and applying the brakes to make sure all four wheels stay on the ground. Drive in Style The F-150 has a two-tone paint treatment and accent colors on the front and back bumper. The grilled is a chrome two-bar style that has a caribou mesh insert and chrome surround. The side mirrors have turn signals integrated into them and are heated, so you don't have to worry about them fogging up when you're trying to see.
