The first difference between the Ford Focus and the Ford Fusion is the price, which is important to many consumers. The Ford Focus begins at $17,860 for the base S sedan model. There are several trims available, and the price can go up to $24,175 if you want the Titanium trim. The hatchback version of the Focus starts at $20,445 for the Ford Focus SE model and goes up to $41,120 if you want the Focus RS. Those who prefer the all-electric Focus EV will pay $29,190 for the basic version and get a federal tax credit of $7,500.
The base model of the Fusion S starts at a higher price of $22,120. There are five different trims available, with the most expensive Platinum model beginning at $36,895. Each trim offers the option to have a hybrid powertrain. The plug-in hybrid, the Fusion Energi, begins at $33,305.
